Pumpkin Fest has had a great first three weekends, but we still have one more to go – Oct. 24 and 25 – and then it’s time for us to put it all away.
It takes a LOT of volunteers to accomplish all this.
Interested in helping ?
Our volunteers have a lot of fun seeing the kids in costume as kids and adults hunt for white squirrels along the beautiful lighted trail, dress up for a photo op, enjoy chalk drawing in front of the mansion, or take pictures with the roaming White Squirrel.
We are using SignUp Genius to organize sign ups. We have one link for this coming weekend and one for the work required to take down and store our displays for the year. Each volunteer position has a description so you’ll have an idea of what the position requires.
You will notice that selected volunteer positions are being offered with shorter shifts. This is a trial run to see how it works this year. The issue is that we cannot offer free volunteer parking for those who are leaving early or coming late, because that volunteer parking is in the back of the mansion, only accessible on the driveway that is closed off for pedestrians during the event. If you’d like to try a shorter shift and need ideas for where to park, reach out to the volunteer committee (email below) and we’ll give you some ideas.

We are also providing an online form for volunteers to use to submit their emergency contact information in advance. We only need one form per volunteer, not a form for every time you volunteer. To speed up volunteer sign in on the event nights, please use the online form. If you cannot access the form, though, we will have paper copies available at the volunteer tent when you arrive at the park. The link for the online version is just below.
